VA Greater Los Angeles has 262 acute hospital beds, 66 non-acute beds, 296 skilled nursing home beds and 321 domiciliary beds. GLA also operates several regional referral programs, including specialty imaging, medical, surgical and mental health services. Services are provided in three ambulatory care centers and nine community clinics.

VA San Diego has 238 hospital beds and 69 skilled nursing home beds, and operates several regional referral programs, including cardiovascular surgery, spinal cord injury and minimally invasive aortic aneurysm procedure. San Diego provides medical, surgical, mental health, geriatric, spinal cord injury and advanced rehabilitation services at the medical center in La Jolla and in five community clinics.
